This is a senior-level position for a highly skilled technician who can independently diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered vehicles while delivering quality workmanship and efficiency. Position Overview As a Diesel Technician III, you will be responsible for performing advanced diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related systems. This role requires extensive experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to complete complex repairs with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, fuel systems, emissions systems, drivetrains, transmissions, suspension, steering, and electrical systems. Perform advanced troubleshooting using manufacturer diagnostic equipment and software. Complete major engine, transmission, and drivetrain repairs. Accurately document repairs, inspections, and diagnostic findings. Perform warranty repairs according to manufacturer requirements. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and identify additional maintenance needs. Maintain productivity and efficiency goals while ensuring high-quality workmanship. Assist and mentor entry-level technicians as needed. Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety procedures. Required Qualifications Level 3 diesel technician experience required. Advanced diesel diagnostic and troubleshooting experience required. Ability to independently diagnose and repair diesel engines, emissions systems, electrical systems, and drivability concerns required. Strong understanding of DEF, DPF, EGR, and modern diesel emissions systems. Experience using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools. Ability to perform major engine and transmission repairs.
