This role offers a consistent daytime schedule, modern equipment, and strong support for technician development. What You'll Do Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on tractors and trailers Perform preventative maintenance and DOT inspections Use diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot complex issues Complete intermediate repairs, including HVAC systems, ABS systems, aftertreatment systems, APU units, and communication and tracking systems Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and parts used Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Perform OEM warranty work Mentor and support entry-level technicians Benefits Magnum offers a comprehensive benefits package, including: Health Insurance with HSA and FSA Options Company Paid Life Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan Paid Time Off (PTO) Employee Assistance Program (EAP)

Ideal candidates have:
Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, tools, and equipment, including repair and maintenance Experience using diagnostic software, electronic systems, and computer-based tools Understanding of DOT regulations and safety standards Knowledge of transportation and freight operations Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks Ability to communicate effectively with shop team members and supervisors A team-oriented mindset with a focus on safety and efficiency Education & Experience Diesel Engine Specialist certification or related degree preferred Minimum of 2 years of diesel mechanic/technician experience required CDL (Commercial Driver's License) preferred, but not required Work Environment & Physical Requirements This position is performed in a shop and maintenance environment where employees may be exposed to dust, noise, vibration, chemicals, fumes, and varying temperatures. Work areas may include slippery floors and equipment with hoses and moving parts, requiring strong attention to safety. The role requires the ability to stand or sit for extended periods, as well as frequent use of hands, tools, and diagnostic equipment. Employees must be able to communicate effectively and maintain awareness of their surroundings while working in an active shop environment.
