EXCITING WORK ENVIRONMENT GREAT PAY FLEXIBLE HOURS
Deckplate Diesel is a Diesel Repair shop and 24-hour mobile repair company looking for a high-level diesel technician to run mobile service calls. This is not a beginner role. You'll be working independently in the field—diagnosing, repairing, and representing the company directly with customers. We trust our Level 3 techs to handle jobs start to finish without hand-holding. If you can figure things out, stay organized, and keep jobs moving—we want you. What You'll Do Travel to customer locations to perform diagnostics and repairs Run diagnostic tests and analyze results to identify issues quickly Perform advanced repairs (engines, injectors, transmissions, differentials, brakes, HVAC, etc.) Complete preventative maintenance and inspections on trucks and equipment Handle lighting, electrical, and hydraulic system repairs Communicate with the service team on job status, delays, and updates Build accurate job notes, photos, and time tracking in the system Source parts and coordinate with vendors as needed Keep your service truck stocked, clean, and ready to go Occasionally, test drive vehicles to verify performance What We're Looking For 3+ years of diesel technician experience Strong diagnostic skills—you can troubleshoot without guessing Ability to work independently and manage your own workflow Solid understanding of engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical, and diesel systems Experience with mobile service or willingness to learn CDL preferred (not required) Valid driver's license Own tools/toolbox Physically able to lift up to 100 lbs What It Takes to Succeed Here You take ownership of your work—no babysitting required You stay organized and keep jobs moving You communicate problems early and clearly You take pride in doing the job right the first time You represent the company professionally in the field You work well with a team but don't rely on one Skills That Stand Out Diesel Engines
