Full-Time Position Summary CL Construction is seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This position is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and crushing equipment used in construction and demolition operations. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-focused, mechanically inclined, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues on diesel equipment Perform preventative maintenance and routine service on trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, and crushing equipment Troubleshoot and repair concrete crushers and related demolition equipment Inspect equipment to identify safety concerns and needed repairs Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and hydraulic systems Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately Operate diagnostic tools and equipment Respond to breakdowns and field service calls as needed Ensure equipment remains in compliance with DOT and company safety standards Maintain a clean and organized work area Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisors and operators Qualifications Previous diesel mechanic experience required Experience working on heavy equipment and construction equipment required Experience working on crushers, screening plants, or aggregate equipment strongly preferred Experience supporting demolition or recycling operations is a plus Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical failures efficiently Familiarity with hydraulic and electrical systems Ability to read service manuals and schematics Valid driver's license required CDL preferred but not required Welding and fabrication experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
