About Us Lightning Landscape Inc. is a growing landscape construction and maintenance company serving Southern New Hampshire and Northern Massachusetts. We operate and maintain a fleet of diesel trucks, trailers, skid steers, excavators, loaders, commercial mowers, and landscape equipment. We are seeking a skilled and dependable mechanic to join our mechanic team to help keep our fleet running safely and efficiently. Position Overview The Diesel & Heavy Equipment Mechanic will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on company trucks, trailers, diesel equipment, gas-powered equipment, and landscape machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience working on a variety of equipment and be able to troubleshoot issues independently. Responsibilities Perform preventative maintenance on diesel trucks, trailers, excavators, skid steers, loaders, and landscape equipment Diagnose and repair diesel, gas, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues Service and repair commercial lawn equipment, small engines, and power equipment Perform brake, suspension, steering, engine, and drivetrain repairs Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and electrical components Conduct safety inspections and ensure equipment is operating properly Respond to equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs when necessary Maintain service records and preventative maintenance schedules Order parts and communicate repair needs with management Keep shop and work areas clean, organized, and safe Qualifications 3+ years of experience as a diesel, fleet, or heavy equipment mechanic preferred Experience working on diesel trucks, trailers, excavators, skid steers, and commercial landscape equipment Strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment efficiently Welding and fabrication experience is a plus CDL License is a plus but not required Valid Driver's License required Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in varying weather conditions Compensation & Benefits Overtime opportunities available Paid holidays Paid time off Schedule Monday through Friday Full-Time Occasional emergency or weekend repairs during peak season Why Join Lightning Landscape?
