Diesel Mechanic with Leadership Experience

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic with proven leadership experience to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment including various construction machinery and tractor-trailers. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and assembly to modify or repair equipment as needed. Maintain heavy equipment including but not limited to excavators, skid steers, wheel loaders, forklifts, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance. Use power tools and hand tools efficiently for equipment repair. Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and company policies while delivering exceptional customer service to internal teams or clients requiring equipment maintenance. Possible advancement into a leadership role where you would lead and mentor a team of technicians, providing guidance on complex repairs and fostering a collaborative work environment. Skills Extensive experience with heavy machinery. Strong mechanical knowledge covering diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, suspension components, and wheel alignment. Skilled in the use of welding equipment, power tools, service technician techniques, and heavy lifting procedures. Ability to read schematics accurately for complex equipment repairs involving hydraulics or electrical systems. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and problem-solving abilities. Experience working with various construction equipment.
