$25•$32 per hour Job Details•Are you a skilled mechanic with a passion for heavy-duty machinery? We are seeking an experienced Diesel, Truck & Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team on a permanent basis. You will be working with an array of vehicles and equipment ranging from diesel engines, Freightliners, Yard Trucks, Terminal Equipment, and forklifts to construction equipment and Material Handling Equipment. Responsibilities:
As a Diesel, Truck & Heavy Equipment Mechanic, your duties will include but not be limited to: 1. Diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing various types of heavy-duty machinery and equipment including diesel engines, trucks, and construction equipment. 2. Performing preventative maintenance on equipment to prevent future breakdowns and failures. 3. Conducting diagnostic tests on diesel engines and other machinery to identify mechanical problems and determine the best solutions. 4. Repairing or replacing defective parts within the hydraulic and pneicumatic systems. 5. Performing repairs on brake systems, transmission systems, cooling systems, and fuel systems. 6. Utilizing welding MIG Stick and Fabrication skills for mechanical repairs. 7. Adhering to OEM standards and OSHA regulations, including Lockout Tagout LOTO procedures. 8. Maintaining accurate records of each repair performed on vehicles and equipment. Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications: 1. A minimum of 5 years' experience as a Diesel Mechanic, Diesel Technician, Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Equipment Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Truck Mechanic, Vehicle Technician, Industrial Mechanic, Maintenance Mechanic, or Shop Mechanic. 2. Proficiency in working with Freightliner, Yard Truck, Yard Hustler, Jockey Truck, Terminal Equipment, Forklifts, Reach Stacker, Container Handler, Chassis & Trailers, and Construction Equipment. 3. Proven experience in repairing Diesel Engines, Hydraulic Systems, Pneumatic Systems, Brake Systems, Transmission Repair, Cooling Systems, and Fuel Systems. 4. Skills in Welding MIG Stick, Fabrication, Mechanical Repair, and Electrical Repair. 5. Experience with Hyster, LPG Forklifts, Electric Forklift, Diesel Forklift, and Material Handling Equipment. 6. Knowledge of OEM Standards, Lockout Tagout LOTO, and OSHA regulations. 7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. 8. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 9.
