In this vital role, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of diesel-powered vehicles and industrial equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and efficiency across various operations. Your mechanical skills and attention to detail will directly contribute to the smooth running of our fleet and machinery. We're looking for motivated professionals eager to apply their hands-on experience in a fast-paced environment that values quality workmanship and proactive maintenance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC components. Conduct routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid replacements to maximize equipment lifespan. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs. Inspect and repair vehicle electrical systems, including wiring harnesses and sensors; perform automotive diagnostics for both heavy-duty and light-duty vehicles like tractor-trailers. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades; ensure proper installation of new parts following manufacturer specifications. Maintain detailed service records; document repairs performed and parts used to ensure compliance with safety standards and warranty requirements. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience highly preferred; familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy equipment is a plus. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, and metalworking; comfortable working with power tools and hand tools. Knowledge of schematics for electrical systems, hydraulics, air brakes, transmissions, HVAC systems, suspension components, and tire service. Ability to lift heavy parts safely; comfortable performing heavy lifting tasks regularly. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients about repairs and maintenance needs. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts or farm machinery is advantageous. Join us in keeping the wheels turning!
