Deisel Mechanic

Now Hiring:

Diesel Mechanic We're looking for an experienced diesel mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience working on Freightliner and Volvo tractors.

Pay:

$30-$35 per hour

Schedule:

Sunday-Thursday or Tuesday-Saturday Full-time, 40 hours per week

What You'll Be Doing:

Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and related systems Performing preventive maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, fluid checks, and DOT inspections Servicing brake systems (air and hydraulic), suspension, steering, and electrical systems Working on aftertreatment systems (DPF, DEF, EGR) and emissions components Reading and interpreting diagnostic codes using OEM and aftermarket scan tools Repairing HVAC systems, starters, alternators, and onboard electronics Welding and minor fabrication as needed Documenting all repairs, parts used, and labor accurately Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area Communicating with drivers, dispatch, and shop management on repair status and timelines

Requirements:

Diesel certification (required) Proven experience servicing and repairing Freightliner and Volvo tractors Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Own basic hand tools Valid driver's license (CDL a plus) Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
