Neudorf Enterprises - 7385 US HWY 54/70, Alamogordo, NM Job Overview Neudorf Enterprises, a family-owned and operated heavy-duty diesel repair shop, is seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team! We take pride in keeping trucks and equipment safe, reliable, and DOT-compliant for our customers. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing heavy-duty diesel engines and equipment while delivering the high-quality service our shop is known for. Responsibilities Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter and belt replacements, and complete service checks. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and diagnostic equipment. Conduct thorough inspections of diesel engines, trucks, trailers, and equipment to ensure DOT compliance and prevent future issues. Repair and replace key systems and components such as hydraulics, suspensions, and air brakes. Safely operate shop equipment, including cranes and forklifts, to move heavy parts and machinery. Work on a variety of heavy-duty trucks, farm equipment, and diesel engines. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, following shop and OSHA safety standards. Collaborate with other team members to complete complex repairs in a timely manner. Communicate clearly with customers, explaining repairs, services, and preventative maintenance needs. Qualifications Previous experience as a Diesel Mechanic or Service Technician (minimum 2 years preferred). Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, suspensions, and air brake systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools, hand tools, and power tools. Familiarity with heavy-duty trucks, trailers, and farm machinery. Ability to lift and move heavy parts and safely operate cranes and forklifts. Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
