Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Diesel Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy machinery and industrial equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical background, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and the ability to work on various types of diesel engines and heavy-duty systems. The mechanic will ensure equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably to support our operations across construction, agriculture, and industrial sectors. Responsibilities Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, including Caterpillar, OEM, and other heavy equipment brands. Conduct maintenance on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and farm machinery. Repair and service hydraulic systems, transmissions, air brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC components. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and hand tools as needed. Use schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical issues. Conduct tire service, alignment checks, brake repairs, and power tool maintenance. Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes when necessary. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all work complies with safety standards. Assist in assembly or disassembly of large machinery during repairs or upgrades. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy equipment or automotive repair highly preferred. Strong knowledge of Caterpillar equipment and OEM parts. Proficiency with schematics, electrical diagnostics, hydraulics, and mechanical repair techniques. Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Skilled in welding, fabrication, soldering, and use of power tools. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brakes, alignment procedures, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and diesel engine repair. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately. Good customer service skills for interactions with clients or internal teams. Pay:
$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
