Job Description
Job Description We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and hydraulic systems Perform preventative maintenance services and inspections Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, air, and brake systems Complete repairs on suspension, steering, cooling, and exhaust systems Utilize diagnostic software and scan tools to identify issues Maintain accurate service and repair documentation Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards Assist with emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime Maintain a clean and organized work area Qualifications Previous diesel mechanic experience required Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills Experience working with diesel engines and heavy equipment Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and repair documentation Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment Own tools preferred Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a shop environment Preferred Experience Heavy-duty truck repair Hydraulic systems Electrical diagnostics Preventative maintenance programs DOT inspections and compliance Pay Up to $45.00 per hour (based on experience) Benefits Company contributes $300 per month toward healthcare coverage Paid Time Off (PTO) Paid Holidays Stable, full-time employment This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled diesel mechanic looking for competitive pay, strong benefits, and long-term career stability.
