In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, and farm equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types and utilize your mechanical skills in a fast-paced environment dedicated to excellence in vehicle and equipment maintenance. Responsibilities Perform detailed diagnostics using schematics, automotive diagnostics tools, and electrical testing to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, HVAC systems, and other heavy equipment components. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to ensure proper fit and function. Replace or repair shocks & struts, brake systems, wheel alignments, tires, and other critical vehicle components to maintain safety standards. Utilize mechanical knowledge to assemble equipment parts accurately and efficiently while adhering to safety protocols. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform complex repairs involving hydraulics and HVAC systems. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed and communicate effectively with customers regarding maintenance needs or issues. Experience Proven mechanic experience with heavy diesel engines and automotive repair; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong background in fabrication, welding, soldering, and working with power tools for custom repairs or modifications. Hands-on experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, or similar machinery. Knowledge of heavy-duty vehicle systems including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension components, HVAC systems, and tire service. Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring diagrams and hydraulic schematics is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repair, alignment adjustments, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to lift heavy objects safely during tire changes or equipment repairs; experience with welding is a plus. Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills to explain repairs clearly and professionally.
