Job Description

Who We Are Lake Shore Paving is a site work/ civil construction contractor in Jamestown, NY. We build projects that range in size from $100k to $20 million. Lake Shore Paving is focused on delivering projects safely, timely and with a standard that exceeds expectations. The Opportunity As a Diesel Mechanic, you'll keep our fleet and jobsite equipment reliable so crews can stay productive and projects stay on track. You'll handle preventive maintenance, diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, and complete quality repairs on heavy-duty diesel trucks and construction equipment.
Key responsibilities include:
Inspecting, servicing, and repairing heavy-duty commercial vehicles Troubleshooting electrical problems and correcting faults Maintaining brakes and brake systems to spec Diagnosing, servicing, and repairing hydraulic systems Required knowledge/skills: Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel trucks Strong electrical troubleshooting capability Working knowledge of brake systems Working knowledge of hydraulic systems If you take pride in dependable work and safe repairs, apply today. How Your Day Flows You'll start early at our Jamestown shop, review what's coming in, and set up parts and tools for the day. Expect a mix of planned service work and quick turnarounds that keep trucks and machines ready for the field. You'll move between bays and equipment, test systems after repairs, and document what was completed so the next shift or foreman has clear status. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with some Saturday mornings as needed.
