Job Description
Overview:
We are seeking a 1st shift skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team! As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and vehicles. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, including fuel systems, electrical systems, and emissions control systems
- Inspect and test vehicles to identify any issues or malfunctions
- Use hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment to perform repairs
- Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify problems and recommend appropriate solutions
- Repair or replace faulty parts and components, such as brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems
- Weld and fabricate parts as needed
- Perform equipment repairs on cranes and other heavy machinery
- Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines and vehicle maintenance
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Familiarity with electrical systems and hydraulics
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot automotive issues effectively
- Experience in welding and fabrication is a plus
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently We offer competitive pay based on experience.
