Job Description

There is an opening opening for an Automotive Mechanic in the Transportation Department of East Irondequoit Central School District. This is a 12-month, 8-hour per day position working 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch. Responsibilities are but not limited to the following:
Preventative Maintenance:
Perform scheduled inspections, oil changes, fluid checks, and filter replacements.
Diagnostics:
Use computer software and diagnostic tools to isolate engine, electrical, and mechanical failures.
Safety Compliance:
Ensure all brake systems, emergency exits, and suspension components meet DOT regulations.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate, up-to-date work orders and repair logs. Please complete an online application and upload any necessary documents.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent Valid NYS Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with School Bus endorsement or eligible to obtain Professional diesel or heavy-duty automotive experience and/or automotive certification preferred
