Job Description

A well-established, full-service commercial truck dealership is hiring a Diesel Technician in Westbury, NY to diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of experience or diesel/trade school training. Apply today to join a stable shop with long-term growth opportunities and OEM training.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty trucks, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, aftertreatment/DEF, and electrical systems. Complete preventative maintenance, DOT inspections, and warranty repairs to OEM standards. Use diagnostic software/tools to identify faults and document repairs accurately. Coordinate with parts and service teams to keep work moving and meet turnaround expectations. • Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area and follow all shop safety procedures. Inspect and prep new and used trucks for delivery and lot inventory readiness.
Requirements Required:
2+ years of hands-on experience servicing medium- or heavy-duty trucks in a dealership or fleet environment, or a diesel school/trade school background with strong mechanical aptitude for trainee consideration. Ability to diagnose faults, complete repairs, and work independently at the appropriate experience level. Working knowledge of diesel systems, air brakes, suspension, and electrical diagnostics. Personal tool set and comfort using service manuals and diagnostic systems. Valid driver's license and reliable weekday availability.
Preferred:
CDL Class B or higher, or willingness to obtain. Experience working on International and/or Battle Motors trucks. OEM and/or ASE certifications, including brakes, diesel engines, or electrical. Interest in ongoing manufacturer training. OEM training is available for motivated technicians. #PJ1
Compensation:
$33.00 to $40.00/hour based on experience, certifications, and diagnostic capabilities. Trainee compensation will depend on experience, training, and overall skill level. Overtime available.

Shifts:
Day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. No weekends consistent weekday workflow in a shop environment.
