Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic

Job Overview Fabrizi Trucking & Paving is a family owned and operated company seeking to hire a skilled Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic to join our fast growing company. We are hiring for two different locations and with options for multiple shifts. Responsibilities Diagnose and perform repairs to diesel trucks based upon driver repair orders including on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems of heavy trucks. Conduct preventative maintenance tasks such as oil changes, lubes and filter replacements. Use diagnostic tools to identify issues and make repairs Rebuild, replace, or repair major components such as engine heads, blocks, starters, and transmissions. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Complete work orders and maintain accurate breakdown of time The ability or prior knowledge of working on heavy equipment is a plus CDL drivers license is a plus Qualifications 2-5 Proven experience working as a Heavy Diesel Truck Mechanic Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair, transmissions, brakes (including air brake systems), hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC units. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals; able to interpret complex diagrams for troubleshooting purposes. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely; comfortable working in physically demanding environments.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
