About the Role As a Diesel Equipment Technician, you will serve as a vital member of our maintenance team, ensuring that our fleet of heavy machinery remains operational and reliable. By applying your expertise in mechanical diagnostics and preventative maintenance, you will directly impact our operational uptime and overall project efficiency. Responsibilities Execute complex repairs on heavy-duty machinery including excavators, loaders, and commercial trucks to minimize downtime. Conduct comprehensive preventative maintenance inspections to identify potential failures before they disrupt operations. Leverage advanced diagnostic software and specialized tools to troubleshoot intricate mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems. Document all service activities and parts usage to maintain precise equipment history logs. Coordinate with site supervisors to streamline repair workflows and meet critical project timelines. Uphold rigorous safety standards and maintain a professional, hazard-free workspace at all times. Continuously expand your technical knowledge regarding emerging heavy equipment technologies and industry best practices. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or GED equivalent. Demonstrated professional experience in heavy equipment repair or a related mechanical field. Proficiency in servicing diesel engines, hydraulic circuits, and complex electrical systems. Proven ability to interpret technical schematics, service manuals, and wiring diagrams. Valid driver's license with a clean driving history. Preferred Skills Formal certification from an accredited diesel or heavy equipment technical program. Experience with specific heavy equipment brands or specialized diagnostic interfaces. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on precision and quality workmanship.
