Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in heavy duty truck diagnostics and equipment repair, with experience working on diesel engines and industrial equipment. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring the reliability of our fleet and outside customers. This role requires a commitment to safety and quality workmanship. Must have diesel mechanic exp with heavy duty trucks and trasilers Responsibilities Perform diagnostics on diesel engines and related systems to identify mechanical issues. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on various types of diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. Utilize automotive diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot problems effectively. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as necessary. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed. Collaborate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of work orders. Adhere to safety protocols while working in the shop or field environment. Skills Proficient in computer diagnostics with a focus on diesel engines. Experience as a service technician in a dealership or independent shop setting. Strong knowledge of equipment repair Familiarity with HVAC systems as they relate to diesel equipment. Ability to dig, suspend, and weld as required for various repair tasks. Experience working with industrial equipment is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
