Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, shocks & struts replacement, and wheel alignments. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools and welding equipment to ensure proper fit and function. Repair and maintain industrial equipment including Caterpillar machinery, tractor-trailers, and other heavy-duty vehicles. Assist with assembly or disassembly of equipment during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety protocols. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring timely completion of service orders. Perform diagnostics and repairs on semi-trucks, including brands such as Volvo, Freightliner, Peterbilt, and others Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics in a dealership or industrial setting. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or similar machinery. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC units, and transmission components. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, welding apparatus, and other maintenance tools. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures including tire service, brake repair, alignment adjustments, shocks & struts replacement. Ability to lift heavy components safely during repairs or installations; physical stamina for demanding tasks is essential. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to diagnose issues efficiently.
