• Full-time A Diesel Forklift Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel-powered forklifts and mobile equipment to ensure safe and reliable plant operations.

Monday to Friday 11pm to 7am Typical Duties Diagnose and repair diesel forklifts and mobile equipment Perform preventive maintenance and inspections Repair brakes, steering, hydraulics, mast systems, tires, lighting, and diesel engines Troubleshoot engine performance, fuel systems, and cooling systems Replace parts and complete service records Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime Maintain tools, parts inventory, and a clean work area Follow all safety procedures and shop practices Work Environment Industrial setting with exposure to heat, dust, noise, physically demanding work, and cold temperatures during winter. Basic Requirements Experience working on diesel equipment or forklifts Reliable attendance Mechanical aptitude Safe repair practices Tool knowledge Ability to work independently Skills Hydraulic system repair Diesel diagnostics Diesel engine / transmission repairs Experience with forklifts, heavy equipment, or mobile machinery
