Diesel Mechanic

Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. Hourly wage range is $24.00-$34.00, based on experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and related equipment. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all machinery operates efficiently and safely. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related equipment, including ready mix delivery trucks. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Assemble, maintain, and repair various types of heavy equipment. Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot problems effectively. Conduct inspections of air brake systems to ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with service technicians to transmit information regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used, and time spent on repairs. Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following all safety protocols. Experience Proven experience in diesel mechanic work Familiarity with heavy equipment operation and repair is essential. Experience in equipment repair, particularly with ready mix delivery trucks, is a plus. Strong knowledge of air brake systems and their maintenance requirements is beneficial. Ability to effectively use hand tools and diagnostic equipment for mechanical repairs. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed. Must have excellent communication skills and effective time management. Must be able to work in a team environment. Schedule Monday through Friday and Rotating Saturday's Hours of operation tend to be 6:30 AM to 5:30 PM M-F and 6:30 AM-12PM every other Saturday. •Hours may differ based on business needs/season.
