Job Description

Interstate Truck and Trailer Repair (ITTR) is a local family owned and operated company who is looking for a qualified Master Diesel Technician to join our growing team. We are seeking a Master Technician to serve as a consultant for diagnostic work, vehicle repairs, and service procedures. The Master Technician provides technical expertise, leadership, and guidance to other members of the service department, ensuring high-quality work and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate core behaviors, including drive, speed of execution, attention to detail, reliability, all of which contribute to delivering the exceptional service our customers expect.
Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic problems Diagnostic abilities specifically Cummins engines, Detroit engines, Paccar engines, Volvo Mach engines and all make and models Ability to work on Farm equipment, Cranes, Forklifts, Buses, and be mobile when needed Perform general and detailed repair and installations of all trucks, engines, and components Provide mentorship, instruction , and advice to other technicians Required to operate diagnostic test equipment proficiently Complete all required shift documentation and report problems and concerns to the Shop Manager Attends training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description Uses ITTR equipment and resources safely and proficiently Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Valid Drivers License (CDL preferred) (for test driving purposes) 5+ years of hands-on experience working with diesel engines and related systems Advanced knowledge of diesel and fuel engine maintenance & repair ASE Certification in PM, brakes, , Electrical, and /or ASE Master Mechanic preferred Knowledgeable in using service software.
