  • Full-time Interstate Truck and Trailer Repair (ITTR) is a local, family-owned and operated company seeking a highly skilled Master Diesel Technician to join our growing team.
As a technical leader in our shop, you'll perform advanced diagnostics, oversee complex repairs, and provide guidance to fellow technicians to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate is driven, dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering exceptional service to our customers. Responsibilities:
Diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical and electronic problems Diagnostic abilities specifically for Cummins engines, Detroit engines, Paccar engines, Volvo Mach engines, and other makes and models Ability to work on Farm equipment, Cranes, Forklifts, Buses, and be mobile when needed Perform general and detailed repairs and installations of all trucks, engines, and components Provide mentorship, instruction, and advice to other technicians Operate diagnostic test equipment proficiently Complete all required shift documentation and report problems and concerns to the Shop Manager Attend training as prescribed by management to maintain proficiency in his/her job description Use ITTR equipment and resources safely and proficiently Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties
Requirements:
High school diploma or GED Valid Driver's License (CDL preferred) (for test driving purposes) 5+ years of hands-on experience working with diesel engines and related systems Advanced knowledge of diesel and fuel engine maintenance & repair ASE Certification in PM, brakes, Electrical, and /or ASE Master Mechanic preferred Knowledgeable in using service software.
