Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic Service Technician to join our dynamic team. CDL is preferred but not required to apply. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that machinery operates efficiently, safely, and reliably across various industries. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment including semi-tractors, trailers and liftgates all while delivering exceptional service to our clients. Your hands-on mechanical skills and attention to detail will drive the success of our maintenance operations. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and electrical components using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on corporate fleets to ensure optimal performance. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Repair and replace components including air brakes, tires, powertrain parts, HVAC systems, and steering mechanisms with precision and adherence to safety standards. Operate heavy equipment safely during repairs or testing procedures while following all safety protocols related to heavy lifting and industrial operations. Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues efficiently. Maintain detailed service records, inspection reports, and documentation of repairs performed for compliance and quality assurance purposes. Skills Proven dealership experience with heavy-duty diesel engines and industrial equipment repair. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding, soldering, assembly work, and use of power tools. Experience working with OEM parts catalogs and reading schematics for precise diagnostics. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as forklifts, tractors-trailers safely and effectively. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism.
