Monday-Friday 7:00am-5:00pm
Guaranteed Overtime:
Time and a half after 40 hours a week! .

RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspects and repairs vehicles with diesel engines
Handles routine repairs, including oil and tire changes along with minor and major repairs from A/C, hydraulics, electrical, welding, engine replacement, transmissions, etc.
Interprets diagnostic test results accurately
Writes detailed inspection reports and repair plans in our system
Collaborates with other diesel mechanics
Completes test drives to make sure the vehicle runs correctly
Uses power, machine, and hand tools safely
Communicate with drivers for issues in morning and afternoon
Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards
Follows all Waste Connections repair shop regulations and standards .
REQUIREMENTS
Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record (Required)
Experience in heavy truck equipment maintenance and repair
Provide personal tools.
Class
B CDL OR
the ability to obtain one within 90 days of employment if required.
Proficiency in vehicle and equipment diagnosis and repair.
Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information in English. .
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT
Extensive physical activity. Requires strenuous physical work; heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling required of objects over 50 pounds.
Back, leg, arm and shoulder strength required to safely climb in, on and around vehicles to inspect and repair.
Ability to work in awkward, tight, or restricted spaces for extended periods of time; Requires the ability to sit, bend, stoop, crouch, kneel, crawl, and be able to get up and down from a supine position.
Work environment involves some exposure to physical risks such as moving mechanical parts which require following basic safety precautions.
The employee is exposed to outside weather, including frequent wet and/or humid conditions, as well as exposure to fumes and vibration. Noise level is usually moderate. .
