Keizer, OR Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 11:00 AM to 7:30 PM. This is a full-time position with occasional overtime as needed. Wheat LLC is looking for a motivated Diesel Lube Technician to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, inspections, and routine service on our fleet of heavy-duty trucks and trailers while working alongside experienced technicians. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in diesel maintenance. Applicants should have hands-on experience working on commercial diesel trucks, heavy equipment, agricultural equipment, or equivalent through employment or an accredited technical program. Personal vehicle maintenance alone is not considered qualifying experience. Responsibilities Perform preventive maintenance on Class 8 trucks and trailers Change engine oil, filters, fuel filters, and fluids Grease chassis and driveline components Inspect brakes, suspension, steering, tires, and undercarriage Check coolant, DEF, hydraulic, and transmission fluid levels Complete DOT inspection checklists Identify maintenance concerns and communicate repair needs to shop leadership Maintain accurate service records Keep the shop clean, organized, and safe Follow all company safety policies and procedures Required Qualifications Basic knowledge of diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment Hands-on experience through employment, internships, apprenticeships, or an accredited diesel/heavy equipment program Ability to safely use shop tools and equipment Strong work ethic with a willingness to learn and grow Ability to lift up to 75 pounds Valid driver's license with a good driving record Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a fleet, trucking, agricultural, construction, or heavy equipment shop Experience performing preventive maintenance on commercial trucks Familiarity with DOT inspections CDL or ability to obtain one Basic welding or fabrication experience Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off and paid holidays Company-provided uniforms Stable, year-round employment Opportunities for advancement into Diesel Mechanic positions Please Note This position is intended for applicants pursuing a career in commercial diesel maintenance.
