Job Summary:
Roush Title Diesel Mechanic II Location Madras, OR Category Technicians Hiring Type Full Time $1,000 Sign-on Bonus Roush is looking to hire an enthusiastic Diesel Mechanic II who will modify cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. The selected candidate will work independently on a variety of projects in accordance with customer instructions and expectations. As a Diesel Mechanic II at Roush, you will be part of a team working on prototype/durability experimental trucks.in a new, clean, state of the art facility with a small team of mechanics and CDL Drivers. This position is in Madras, Oregon.

As a Diesel Mechanic II, you will: Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components Read, interpret, and follow service procedures Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders into a computer system Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance and calling for repairs Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up To be considered as a Diesel Mechanic II, you will need: High school diploma or equivalent Minimum of 2 years of work experience as a Diesel Mechanic Knowledge of mechanical assembly and ability to operate shop equipment Good attention to detail and organizational skills Able to work independently and as part of a team Your own tools with rolling toolbox and able to work overtime and weekends Ability to read, comprehend and execute written procedures Preferred qualifications: Certificate in Diesel Technology or related National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification(s) State Diesel Mechanic Certificat Equal employment opportunity, including veterans and individuals with disabilities.
