Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Equipment Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy equipment and machinery, utility trucks, bucket lefts. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, and diesel engines, along with the ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely. Duties Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety. Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques. Assemble and disassemble machinery components as needed for repairs or upgrades. Operate heavy equipment for testing purposes and to assist in repairs. Service air brake systems and perform necessary adjustments or replacements. Work collaboratively with other technicians to transmit information regarding equipment status and repair needs. Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. Follow safety protocols while working in various environments, including outdoor settings. Requirements Proficiency in diesel engine repair and maintenance. Strong mechanical aptitude with experience as a mechanic or service technician. Knowledge of hydraulics systems and their operation. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job (up to 50 pounds). Experience in operating heavy equipment safely and efficiently. Familiarity with air brake systems and their servicing requirements. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to effectively transmit information within the team.
