Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Diesel Truck Mechanic with strong expertise in hydraulics, welding, and vehicle maintenance to join our team. The ideal candidate will handle repairs and upkeep for a fleet including bucket trucks, digger derricks, and similar heavy equipment. This is a full-time position primarily based on-site and outdoors (99% of the time), ensuring all vehicles remain in fully operational condition. You will also maintain accurate maintenance records and perform DOT inspections. Key Responsibilities Perform repairs and maintenance on diesel trucks, including brakes, fluids, PTO replacements, and repairs. Diagnose and fix issues using computer diagnostics for Ford and International vehicles. Repair and maintain hydraulic systems on specialized equipment such as bucket trucks and digger derricks. Weld proficiently as needed for repairs and modifications. Conduct and document DOT inspections independently. Keep detailed maintenance records for the entire fleet. Drive large trucks as required (CDL preferred). Requirements Proven experience as a diesel truck mechanic with strong hydraulic repair skills. Proficiency in welding. Ability to use computer diagnostic tools for Ford and International trucks. Must provide your own tools. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions nearly full-time. Strong organizational skills for record-keeping and ensuring operational readiness. Preferred Qualifications Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate heavy trucks.
