The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience in various types of heavy equipment and automotive diagnostics. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can effectively troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, as well as perform routine maintenance on a variety of vehicles and machinery. In this role, you will be working independently with little supervision. You MUST be a self-starter! that has extensive customer interaction experience! Duties Perform diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and related systems, including air brakes, transmissions, hydraulics, and suspension components. Conduct routine maintenance on farm machinery, excavators, cranes, tractor-trailers, and other heavy industrial equipment. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical issues and perform necessary repairs. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding vehicle maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles Collaborate with team members to ensure all work is completed safely and efficiently. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. DOT inspection and regulation knowledge is a must. Electronic diagnostic experience A/C- 609 and 608 certifications are preferred. Familiarity with fabrication techniques is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely as required by the job. Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Excellent communication skills for effective customer interaction. This is a mobile technician role so travel/driving is required. Clean Drivers license.
