Diesel /Trailer Mechanic We are seeking a skilled and motivated Full-Time Trailer Mechanic to join our team at our Chambersburg, PA location . Perform diagnostic tests and inspections. Conduct preventative maintenance and mechanical repairs on hydraulic, electrical, suspension, brake, and air systems. Use diagnostic software to interpret failure modes and recommend or carry out necessary repairs. Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts orders, and preventive maintenance activities. Communicate effectively with team members, vendors, and customers to prioritize workloads and ensure high-quality service. Adhere to all safety, health, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and DOT regulations.Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Diesel Tractor /Trailer Mechanic working with heavy-duty trucks and equipment. Strong diagnostic skills and familiarity . Extensive knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, welding, and Yellow Iron machinery. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple repair projects. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety protocols.Skills and Abilities:
Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Excellent problem-solving and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and time management skills. Must be well versed in trailer systems especially tippers and walking floors.Work Environment:
Indoor and outdoor settingsSchedule:
Monday- Friday, with alternating Saturdays 2nd Shift
