Job Description

Family owned and operated business for 70 years currently has an opening for a full time construction equipment mechanic. Technician must effectively diagnose and repair heavy construction equipment to customer satisfaction. Required Education and Experience 1. High school diploma or GED 3. Three years' experience in heavy construction equipment diagnosis and repair or equivalent combination of heavy construction equipment education and experience 4. Valid Class C (passenger vehicle) driver's license with a clean driving record Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 1. Diagnose and troubleshoot heavy-equipment repairs and perform repairs. 2. Work with a computer to diagnose and troubleshoot equipment 3. Read and interpret technical service information, manuals, blue prints etc. 4. Adhere to all safety and environmental regulations. 5. Ensure that the service manager is kept informed of completed repairs and communicate any problems or issues found. 6. Build and maintain an adequate level of tools. 7. Document and maintain proper records of time spent on repairs. 8. Continue service training education to remain current on new technologies.

1.Must have a strong knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems 2. Possess good mechanical and diagnostic skills and problem-solving capabilities 3.
