Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, service, and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, transmissions, brakes, and other essential components to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep our fleet running smoothly, supporting operations across construction, agricultural, industrial, and transportation sectors. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Replace or repair tires on heavy machinery and vehicles; perform wheel alignments to ensure proper operation. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed; interpret technical manuals and schematics accurately. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair procedures when necessary; adhere to safety protocols at all times. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients or team members. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics software and interpreting schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other fabrication tools. Knowledge of OEM parts specifications and the ability to perform precise assembly or disassembly of machinery components. Ability to lift heavy parts or equipment safely during repairs; physically capable of performing demanding tasks regularly. Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to maintenance and repairs; strong electrical experience is a plus.
