  • Full-time Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Light Duty Diesel & Automotive Technician to join our team.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of light-duty diesel and automotive vehicles, ensuring optimal performance and safety. This position offers an excellent opportunity for mechanics with a passion for light duty diesel and automotive repair to grow their skills and advance their career. Qualified candidates must have a valid drivers license, own basic hand tools, have basic computer skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment on all makes of vehicles. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on light-duty diesel engines, including troubleshooting electrical systems, transmissions, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and more. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep vehicles operating smoothly. Repair and replace mechanical components using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques. Assist with the assembly and disassembly of vehicle parts and equipment components while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records and communicate effectively with service advisor regarding repair status and recommendations. Perform PA state inspections. Perform quality inspections prior to returning the vehicle to the customer. Maintain a safe, clean, productive and efficient work area. Qualifications Proven 3+ years experience as an automotive and light duty mechanic. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and electrical wiring. Knowledge in using hand tools, power tools and shop equipement. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with a customer-focused attitude to deliver quality service. Certification or training in automotive diagnostics or related fields is a plus; ongoing learning encouraged. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
