Heavy Duty Diesel Technician Requirements:
4 + Years of Repair Exp on Medium/Heavy Trucks (Class 4-8), Municipal/Public Works Vehicles/Equipment required own tools required Diagnostic / Troubleshooting experience required Basic Computer Skills or Fleet Software experience required 1 ASE (Medium/Heavy Truck) OR able to obtain within 90 days required Willing to Obtain CDL B and DOT Med Card (Within 6 Months) preferred Road tests, PM, and Diag/Repair preferred Experience with Work, Service or Part Ordering/Documentation preferred

Responsibilities of Heavy Duty Diesel Technician:
This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Class 4-8 trucks and fleet vehicles in both shop and field settings for a municipal operation Responsibilities include working on commercial vehicles such as box trucks and tractor-trailers, performing preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and major repairs on engines, air/hydraulic brakes, electrical, and hydraulic systems Additional duties include handling roadside repairs and mobile service, conducting road tests, and completing work orders and documentation Use diagnostic tools to test vehicle components As a diesel technician you will work in a clean safe environment Please be on the lookout for a (774) area code calling you.
