Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy-duty equipment and vehicles. In this energetic role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of diesel engines, industrial machinery, and fleet vehicles. Your hands-on skills will keep our operations running smoothly while providing exceptional service and technical support. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery, all while honing your craft in a fast-paced environment. Duties Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems using OEM specifications and schematics. Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and electrical system checks to prevent breakdowns. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, and power tools to meet specific operational needs. Conduct heavy equipment repairs on machinery including excavators, cranes, tractors, forklifts, and other industrial equipment. Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment to troubleshoot issues accurately and efficiently. Operate heavy equipment for testing repairs or during the repair process when necessary. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed to ensure compliance with safety standards. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance in a dealership or industrial setting. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Familiarity with OEM parts specifications and the ability to read technical manuals effectively. Proficiency with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; experience with power tools is essential. Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly. Excellent customer service skills combined with clear communication abilities for working with clients or team members.
