In this role, you will leverage your mechanical expertise to diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure equipment operates at peak performance. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using OEM specifications and schematics. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure safety and reliability. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding, soldering, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Replace or repair brake systems, alignments, tires, and perform wheel balancing to optimize vehicle safety and performance. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed, including troubleshooting steps and parts used. Operate heavy equipment safely during repair or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery components for repair or upgrade projects. Requirements Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines; dealership experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, hydraulics, HVAC systems, and power tools. Ability to read schematics and OEM manuals accurately for troubleshooting complex issues. Experience working with heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, or farm machinery. Skilled in welding, soldering, fabrication techniques, and tire service operations. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance procedures including brake repair, transmission servicing, suspension adjustments, and alignment. Ability to lift heavy components safely and perform physically demanding tasks regularly. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
