Hiring:
Skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic Full Repair Shop | Trash Trucks | 2nd Shift We are hiring an experienced mechanic who can handle both routine service and major repairs on refuse trucks. This role is not limited to preventative maintenance. We need someone who can diagnose issues, complete repairs correctly, and take on both small fixes and large projects with minimal supervision. If you can troubleshoot, repair, and take pride in doing the job right, we want to talk to you.
Schedule Start:
3:00 PM Typical finish: 11:00 PM Some nights later based on workload Fleet must be ready for the next day What You'll Do Preventative maintenance and inspections Mechanical repairs Electrical diagnostics and repair Hydraulic troubleshooting and repair Brake, suspension, driveline, PTO work Engine-related repairs Large repair jobs and component replacement Occasional welding/fabrication as needed Follow jobs through to completion What We Need Strong diesel mechanic experience Proven diagnostic ability Mechanical + electrical knowledge Hydraulic system experience Able to manage jobs independently Detail-oriented and dependable Own tools required Not the Right Fit If You only do oil changes/basic service You need constant direction You avoid larger repair jobs You don't finish what you start You don't have tools Pay Based on experience and skill.
