is a small business in Goose Creek, SC. Diesel Mechanic (Trucks/Heavy Machinery)
Duties:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and machinery
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues such as mechanical, electrical and hydraulic, among others.
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential problems and ensure compliance with safety standards
  • Respond to maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or installations
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities
  • Fabricate or modify parts as needed
Experience:
  • Previous experience in a diesel mechanic role, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting (pay is based on experience)
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with team members To fit into this position you must have a clean Motor Vehicle Record, great job history, be able to supply your own hand tools (specialty tools can be provided), be able to work independently and be willing to travel off-site for repairs and customer services.
