Job Description

Pay Range:
$24.00-$27.00/hour based on experience
Responsibilities:
Assist mechanics with basic truck and trailer maintenance and repairs Help inspect trucks and trailers for routine maintenance needs Gather tools, parts, and supplies needed for repair jobs Communicate with the Shop Manager and office staff to help ensure parts are available when needed Perform basic maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire checks, light replacements, and preventative maintenance under supervision Keep the shop clean, organized, and free of safety hazards Clean and maintain tools and equipment after use Assist with completing work orders and documenting completed tasks Learn basic troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures under the guidance of experienced mechanics Perform other shop and maintenance duties as assigned Follow all federal, state, local, and company safety rules, policies, and procedures
Experience:
Diesel Mechanic experience preferred Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or one to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Have your own tools preferred Knowledge of various Diagnostic Programs a plus Contribute to a positive work environment Valid drivers license
