Service Tech - Leasing North American Truck & Trailer, Inc.

Today Job Description Custom Truck Leasing is looking to hire a Service Technician At North American Truck & Trailer, we pride ourselves on our energetic atmosphere. As a Service Technician in our Custom Truck Lease division, you will be responsible for the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of medium- and heavy-duty trucks. Your role ensures leased vehicles are in optimal working condition to meet performance, safety, and DOT standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on leased custom trucks, including engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, HVAC, electrical, and hydraulic systems. Conduct DOT inspections and ensure all vehicles meet regulatory standards. Maintain accurate service records using digital fleet maintenance software. Respond to service calls, including road calls or field repairs as needed. Communicate with customers and leasing account managers regarding repair status and recommendations. Ensure all work is completed in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. Stay current on industry best practices and attend training sessions as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in diesel/heavy equipment technology preferred. 2+ years of experience as a diesel or truck technician (custom or lease experience is a plus). Valid driver's license; CDL A or B preferred or ability to obtain. Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electronic diagnostics, and air brake systems. Proficiency with diagnostic software. Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex mechanical/electrical issues. Must provide own hand tools (specialty tools provided by shop).
