Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty equipment, farm machinery, and industrial vehicles. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with a wide variety of machinery, including trucks, cranes, heavy equipment, forklifts, and more. You will be responsible for diagnosing issues, performing repairs, and ensuring all equipment operates safely and efficiently. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical components using schematics and power tools. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and air brake inspections to keep equipment in optimal condition. Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, hand tools, and heavy lifting techniques to meet specific repair needs. Repair and service heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and farm machinery to ensure safety and operational efficiency. Use automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately and perform precise repairs on automotive repair systems. Assemble new components or equipment following technical specifications and safety standards. Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed and parts used; communicate effectively with customers about repair needs and timelines. Requirements Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician in a dealership or heavy equipment environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, HVAC systems, and suspension components. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; familiarity with schematics is essential. Ability to operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and other industrial equipment safely. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance procedures related to automotive repair. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients. Physical ability for heavy lifting and working in various environmental conditions; willingness to perform routine maintenance tasks regularly. Dealership experience or similar background is highly preferred; certifications in automotive repair or heavy equipment operation are advantageous.
