The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with the ability to diagnose and resolve mechanical issues efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the reliability and safety of our fleet of diesel vehicles, including tractor-trailers. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including air brake systems and hydraulic components. Utilize automotive diagnostics to identify issues and implement effective solutions. Conduct brake repairs and ensure compliance with safety standards. Operate hand tools and diagnostic equipment to carry out repairs. Work on various types of vehicles, including trucks and trailers, ensuring they are in optimal working condition. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed. Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance vehicle performance. Ensure the work area is clean, organized, and safe. Requirements Proven experience in diesel mechanics or automotive repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on diesel engines, hydraulics, and brake systems. Proficiency in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with tractor-trailer systems is preferred. Ability to transmit technical information clearly and effectively. Experience operating forklifts is a plus. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Valid driver's license is required.
