Hydraulic and Diesel Expert Mechanic - Rogersville/Morristown

Growth opportunities and formal, documented training On-the-job training We are looking for a skilled Hydraulic and Diesel experienced Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of vegetation and line crew bucket trucks, skid steers, chippers, and sky trims. You will be responsible for ensuring functionality and reliability. An excellent mechanic must have manual dexterity and great attention to detail and must be able to work with various tools SAFELY. Pay based on years experience and if have CDL. Responsibilities Travel across TN (typically in a 100 mile range) daily servicing and repairing our equipment and vehicles in a service truck Build and assemble components according to requirements Inspect machines, engines, transmissions etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues Conduct repairs aiming for maximum reliability in a timely manner Perform thorough maintenance on machinery, equipment, and systems Clean and apply lubricants to machinery components Replenish fluids and components of engines and machinery Provide consultation on correct maintenance and preventative measures to machine or vehicle users Undertake other duties as assigned Keep logs of work and report on issues Willingness to travel out of town for storm response, up to 3-4 weeks (paid at OT/DT rates) Skills Proven experience as Mechanic working on hydraulic systems, 2+ years' experience on hydraulic systems Excellent knowledge of machinery and hydraulic, electrical and other systems Aptitude in using various hand tools and precision measurement tools Ability to follow established procedures and practices and read instructions A strong commitment to all health and safety guidelines Good communication skills with crews and management Problem-solving ability to fix it right the first time High school diploma preferred; Certification from a vocational school or completion of apprenticeship is a plus Great Attitude to get better and improve is a

Schedule:

4 days per week/10 hour shift

Experience:

Diesel engine repair: 2 year minimum; 5+ preferred

Mechanic:

2 years minimum; 5+ preferred Hydraulic training/

OJT:

2 years minimum; 5+ preferred

License/Certification:

Driver's License (Required) CDL (Preferred)

Work Location:

Daily travel locally in a service truck. Typically in a 100 mile range
