Job Description

•This is a Temporary 6-Month Assignment with no Benefits•You will be provided temporary housing during your stay, but you must be willing to live in one of the below locations for an extended period of time. Assignment Locations Montrose, PA Eliot, ME Minimum of 10+ years of experience required $40.00 to $45.00 per hour depending on experience Overview We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Mechanic with 10+ years of hands-on experience to join our Natural Gas team. This role requires advanced expertise in diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding diesel engines and major vehicle systems. The ideal candidate has deep technical knowledge across transmissions, electrical systems, suspension, and engine performance, with the ability to handle complex repairs independently and efficiently. This position is suited for a seasoned professional who takes pride in precision work, safety, and keeping equipment operating at peak performance. MUST have your own vehicle Mileage reimbursed from your home to terminal (paid
ONE TIME
on arrival to assignment and departure if
COMPLETED
) The duties and responsibilities of this position include : Perform advanced diagnostics, repair, and maintenance on diesel engines and related systems Complete engine repairs and full engine rebuilds to manufacturer and industry standards Diagnose and repair complex electrical systems and wiring issues Remove, repair, and replace transmissions and rear-end assemblies Perform advanced suspension repairs, alignments, and steering system work Troubleshoot and resolve performance, drivability, and mechanical issues Conduct inspections to identify needed repairs and ensure vehicle safety and reliability Maintain accurate service records and repair documentation Follow all safety procedures and shop policies
Requirements:
10+ years of diesel mechanic experience Advanced knowledge of engine diagnostics, repair, and rebuilds Advanced experience with transmission and rear-end removal and repair Strong electrical diagnostic and repair skills Advanced suspension repair and alignment experience Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Commitment to quality workmanship and safety standards
Preferred Skills:
Experience with CNG systems, including trailers, tanks, and gas systems Hot works experience and physical agility to perform shop and field tasks
Physical Requirements:
Ability to pass pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing requirements Ability sit, stand, and walk continuously Ability to kneel, bend, and reach frequently Ability to lift up to 50lbs at customer site and/or station, as needed
