Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Diesel Mechanic to join our team. This role is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining semi trucks and trailers to ensure safe and efficient operation. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with heavy-duty diesel engines, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety and quality work.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, semi trucks, and trailers Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues Conduct inspections and preventative maintenance services Repair or replace brakes, transmissions, engines, and other components Maintain accurate service records and documentation Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies Respond to roadside breakdowns if needed
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a diesel mechanic (heavy-duty trucks preferred) Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, and electrical systems Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment Valid driver's license (CDL preferred but not required) Own tools (preferred) Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various conditions
Preferred Skills:
Experience with major truck brands (e.g., Freightliner, Kenworth, Peterbilt) Welding or fabrication experience is a plus Strong problem-solving and time management skills
Pay:
$22.00 - $30.00 per hour
