Job Description
Our company is currently seeking an experienced Heavy Equipment/Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Austin , TX . Description Performs complex preventative maintenance tasks, and troubleshoots and repairs a wide variety of equipment. This position reports to the Operations Manager with oversight from Fleet Manager. Examples of Duties Abide by all safety policies and procedures and assist in maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) on tractor, trailer, and machinery including routine technical repairs and completing repair orders. Troubleshoot and perform repairs included but are not limited to cooling, air, brake, pump, hydraulic, lights, engine, transmissions, drive-train, clutches and steering. Perform general overhaul work on equipment and vehicles. Work closely with team members to prioritize work flow to meet deadline. Communicate with team members to maintain proper inventories of supplies. Notify manager of maintenance or repairs that cannot be performed in-house. Work additional hours in accordance with business needs and other demands of the position. Who you are
