Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic team as a Diesel Service Technician and become a vital part of maintaining and repairing heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment. In this energetic role, you will diagnose, troubleshoot, and service a wide range of industrial, agricultural, and construction machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will keep equipment running smoothly, supporting our clients' operations with precision and reliability. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and HVAC components using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Execute tire service, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacements, brake repairs, and assembly of mechanical components with precision. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills to lift, move, or position machinery safely during repair or maintenance tasks. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues accurately while adhering to safety standards. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and offering maintenance advice to clients for ongoing equipment care. Qualifications Proven experience in dealership or heavy equipment service environments with a strong mechanical background. Hands-on experience with fabrication, welding, electrical systems, and automotive repair techniques. Familiarity with Caterpillar machinery or similar industrial equipment is highly desirable. Ability to read schematics and utilize diagnostic tools effectively for troubleshooting diesel engines and related systems. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and heavy lifting techniques required for repairs. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC units, and tire services. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team. Pay:
$13.00 - $16.00 per hour
